School leadership experience.
Law enforcement insight.
I’m an experienced principal who understands the pressure of creating a safer workplace for staff. I draw on both education and policing to help school leaders act with greater clarity when situations are complex, fast paced or volatile.
I know how isolating the role can feel when everyone expects you to know what to do. I share the critical thinking, practical strategies and skills I have brought from law enforcement into school leadership—helping you and your staff be READY, RESPOND and RECOVER.
Experience across demanding school contexts
My leadership spans a large, complex metropolitan Kindergarten–Year 10 school serving a community with significant socioeconomic disadvantage, colocated with an education support centre; a Years 10–12 senior college with residential facilities, a registered training organisation and a 500-hectare commercial farm—a high risk training environment; and several large regional secondary schools with varying levels of complexity and ICSEA scores.
I have lived and worked in remote Aboriginal communities, worked in Queensland public schools and Catholic education, led hundreds of staff and managed a wide range of critical incidents.
My system leadership includes a formal collegiate role, system advisory groups, representation in industry forums, and peer reviewing principals and public schools.
